Twilight Series #6: Runnymede 8K

For the second year in a row, a nasty storm brewed and the sky grew dark as the runners prepared for the final race of the Twilight Series. About 15 minutes into the race, the deluge began. Surpassing our sogginess from last year, our runners this year went the whole distance in the pouring down rain. All of you deserve a pat on the back for getting across that finish line any way you could -- some of you even missing your soaked shoes and socks.
We can't thank our volunteers enough -- you are a dedicated group to have been out there in the pouring down rain in order to assist our runners. Many thanks to: Gorman Davis, Mark Sobota, Joe Loveland, Terry Monn, Mary Honeman, Abby Funk, and Vida and Ben Callier. And, a great big thanks to our new Runnymede 8K race director, Tim Gosnell!
