Rogue
Runner Race Attracts Large Crowd, 6 September 2004
A story about the race was in the Tuesday, September 7, issue of the Carroll
County Times.
A field of 181 runners and
two dogs participated in the Labor
Day 5K Rogue Run, held at Liberty High School in Eldersburg on Labor
Day. The male winner was Matt Doumaux from Lancaster, who just happens
to have been Bobby Ward's college roommate (could there be a connection
here?), and the female winner was Jill Krebs, who continues to run really
well these days.
Others receiving notice were
Amy Morrow Funk, Jim Bullock, and Gary Honeman, all of whom won age group
awards. Unfortunately none of the above was present at the awards ceremony,
even though one of them was specifically advised to stay since she might
have won one. The medals are now sitting in a box along with the unawarded
Twilight Series trophies.
