Our purpose is to write book reviews for readers in grades 2-8 that give a little more information than what you find in the library catalog.  We hope that you use this site and then visit libraries, talk to librarians, and most especially, read more books.  Come again!

Pages are designed using Netscape and Micrografx Windows Draw.  Animated gifs are downloaded from free web sites.  Book covers are scanned using Adobe Photoshop and are copyright by the various publishers and by individual artists. Bookmarks are designed using Print Shop.
Book reviews are written by WMC undergraduate and graduate students taking courses in children's and young adult literature and by WMC school library media instructors. The reviewer's initials follow his/her reviews.  The reviewers are listed below.
The books that are featured are some of our favorites.  Many titles have been recommended by kids.  We read books that are recommended in professional selection sources such as Booklist and School Library Journal. We also read books that appear on various ALA notable book lists and the Notable Social Studies and Outstanding Science Trade Book lists that appear on the Children's Book Council web site.
