Daniel, his mother, and his cat, Jasmine, watch looters from their apartment window.  When fire comes to their apartment, they have to leave even though Jasmine is missing.  Mrs. Kim is missing her cat, too.  The two cats could not be together because they do not get along.  When a firefighter comes to the shelter where everyone is staying, no one expects to learn the valuable lesson they do.  (JD)
