Hogrogian, Nonny. One Fine Day. New York: Macmillan,
1971.
One fine day a fox finds a pail filled with milk. The milk belongs to an old woman who becomes so angry at the fox for lapping up her milk that she chops off his tail! Yow! When the fox demands his tail, the woman insists on having her milk. The fox is off on an adventure where one thing leads to another. Getting his tail back depends upon a cow, a field, a stream, a maiden, a peddler, a hen, and a miller. Where will it end? (AB) |
