Langstaff, John.  Frog Went A-Courtin’.  New York: Harcourt, 1955.

This story is actually a 400-year-old Scottish song.  A frog jumps on his horse and asks pretty Miss Mouse if she will marry him.  What mousey-girl could resist?  They have a fine wedding with some unusual guests, each making a contribution to the fun. Alas, the wedding reception ends when an uninvited guest pounces in and sends the wedding party running for cover!  (AB)
