After Ms. Fish described the animals in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, Ms. Lothrop illustrated the book. Her pictures remind us how important animals are to humankind. We feel superior to animals, and we sometimes forget how much we depend upon them and how much they add to the world. (AB)
