Fire Department

Mount Airy is protected by a fully-equipped Volunteer Fire Department that provides both fire fighting and ambulance services. The fire hall is located at 702 North Main Street. They also have a carnival ground, banquet facilities and ball fields located on the corner of Maryland Route 27 and Twin Arch Road. The Fire Department is dependent on donations from citizens and local governments as well as fund-raising activities for its entire budget.
