Lois Duncan
Her Books Other Information Other Web Sites
In 1992, Lois Duncan received the MAE Award.  The committee cited her books Chapters: My Growth as a Writer, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Killing Mr. Griffin, Ransom, Summer of Fear, and The Twisted Window.

At thirteen, she published her first story, “Calling All Girls.”   After many  stories and lots of rejections, she began publishing books.  Lois says, “I spend so much of my time submerged in the minds of the teenage characters in my novels that it comes as a shock when I look in the mirror and find I have gray in my hair.”

In 1989, her daughter Kaitlyn was murdered.  Her death eerily mirrored Lois’s book, Don’t Look Behind You.  Since then, Lois has become interested in the paranormal and ESP.
