Voices from the Front and the Home Front- This program will be a multi-media dramatic event using original letters, photographs, artifacts and music to bring to life both the joys and sorrows experienced by the Fleagle family during the Civil War. Patterns of Quaker Migration in the 1700s to Before the Civil War in PA, MD, VA, NC, OH and the West - Speaker Craig R. Scott is a professional genealogical and historical researcher and the President and CEO of Heritage Books, Inc. He specializes in the records of the National Archives, especially those related to the military, and has been doing research for more than twenty-three years. 7:30 p.m. at Cockey's Tavern, 216 E. CCGS Annual Dinner Meeting - Deer Park United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. The speaker will be Lyndi McNulty, author of "Farming in Carroll County," a new "Images of America" book from Arcadia Publishers. Lyndi will share some of the photographs and stories she gathered while researching her book. Copies will be for sale. Reservations required by June 8th.
