Monday, March 19—Catholic Roots in Carroll County—Rev. Michael J. Roach explores the beginnings of Catholic worship in the wilderness areas of Maryland and Pennsylvania from the early Catholic mission at Conewago near present-day Hanover, PA.

Monday, April 16—Maryland Marriages and the Laws: How They Have Changed from the Seventeenth Century to the Present—Jane Thursby describes Maryland's marriage laws and practices over the last 350 years. She explains the legalities of marriage and why this knowledge is helpful in finding the records of your ancestors. She points out the various records, where they can be found, and what other information contained in marriage records can be helpful.

Monday, May 21—Where is Great-Grandma Hiding? Finding Forgotten Females—We know that our foremothers are the most challenging people to identify for many reasons. Sandra MacLean Clunies offers some successful strategies to use in your hunt for that elusive female ancestor.

Except as otherwise noted, the Society holds meetings on the third Monday of each month, March through May and September through November, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dixon Room, Westminster Library, 50 East Main Street, Westminster. The meetings are free and open to the public.
