Sundiata: Lion King of Mali

 

Six hundred years ago in ancient Africa, a king's son was unable to walk or speak.  Sundiata, however, overcame these disabilities and grew up to be the king of Mali.  David Wisniewski's illustrations are stunning in this biography of Sundiata.
