Musical Instrument Bank
The Carroll County Arts Council cleans and repair donated musical instruments to be used by students in the Carroll County School System. The refurbished instruments are donated directly to the schools and the teachers then distribute them to students in need. Priority is given to children from households with combined incomes of under $30,000 per year, however, extenuating circumstances are considered as well.
Instrumental Music Teachers may request instruments that they need for specific students or a general loaner bank at their school. If your child is enrolled in their school's band or orchestra and needs this assistance, please contact their instrumental music teacher. Homeschool students only may apply directly to the Arts Council for assistance.
If you have an instrument to donate, please bring it to the Arts Council during normal business hours. You will be given a receipt for income tax purposes and the satisfaction of knowing you have helped a child experience the joys of music.
The Musical Instrument Bank is supported by The Maryland State Arts Council, the Community Foundation of Carroll County and "In Kara's Memory" Foundation. |
