Annual Members Exhibit

6th Annual Members Exhibit

sponsored by Ruth Gray & Lloyd Helt

August 14 to October 4, 2008

PURPOSE:

To celebrate and showcase the work of our members. This exhibit also gives the staff an opportunity to identify talent for future exhibits in the Tevis and Community Galleries.

ELIGIBILITY:

All current dues-paying members of the Carroll County Arts Council are eligible to enter. Artists must be 18 years or older. A $5 entry fee is required of all artists to help offset costs for publicity and awards.

JUDGES:

There is not a jury/judging process to enter the show. However, there will be two judges for the exhibition who will have the sole and final selection of award winners. The judges will independently assign a numeric score to each work of art based on the elements and principles of good design and presentation. The two sets of scores will be combined to honor up to 12 artists with “Artistic Excellence” Awards.

Part of our mission is to provide an earning opportunity for artists, and part of our operating income is generated through art sales. Therefore we encourage you to make your work available for sale at a reasonable price. A 25% commission to be collected by the CCAC on all works that sell.
